Fusible inserts – the general information
Fusible inserts are used for protection of chains in which for any reason usual safety locks, such as a contour of system of ignition, and also for power chains in which circulates высокоамперный a current cannot be used.
More in detail fusible inserts of usual type described more low are used on models of early years of release, inserts картриджного type later have started to be applied. Картриджные fusible inserts are placed in the assembly block of safety locks/relays located in an impellent compartment and outwardly look as large safety locks; their replacement is made in a similar manner (see Has undressed Safety locks - the general information), with that only a difference that it is preliminary necessary to disconnect a negative wire from the battery. For fixing of some fusible inserts the screw which before element extraction is necessary for turning out is used.

The failed fusible inserts of usual type are not subject to regenerative repair. Track, that the replaceable element completely corresponded on the rating data failed. Replacement is made in a following order:
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

- Disconnect a fusible insert from an electroconducting plait;
- Бокорезами bite off an insert from a wire directly behind a socket;
- Smooth out electroconducting isolation, having bared a conductor on a site approximately 13 mm;
- Rearrange a socket on a new fusible insert and, having braided electroconducting, establish assemblage on the regular place;
- Properly пропаяйте and carefully заизолируйте electroconducting joints;
- Connect a negative wire to the battery and make sure of serviceability of functioning of a corresponding electric contour.
