Removal and pallet installation картера the engine

On all-wheel drive cars it is necessary to dismantle preliminary power shafts and assemblage of forward differential, – usually to remove the engine easier.

Removal
Details of installation of the pallet картера and the oil pump
|
|
|
1. Elements of installation of the pallet картера the engine and the oil pump are shown on an illustration above.
2. Remove the engine from the car and establish it on the suitable stand.
3. Remove щуп measurements of level of impellent oil.
4. Merge impellent oil and remove the oil filter (see the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance).
5. Give 24 bolts and two nuts of fastening of the pallet картера then separate it from the engine block, in case of need accurately having hooked its small screw-driver or шпателем
Try not to damage interfaced surfaces.
6. Give 7 bolts and two nuts of fastening демпфирующей plates and remove it.
7. Give 18 bolts and two nuts of fastening of the top part of the pallet and remove it.

The top part of the pallet картера fastens bolts of different length do not mix them at installation! On pallet perimetre there are some inflow against which it is possible to rest the lever at branch of the pallet from the block. Try not to damage interfaced surfaces. |
8. If necessary remove маслозаборник with a lining. |

Installation
|
|
1. Accurately scratch out from interfaced surfaces of the pallet and the block all traces of hermetic and a material of an old lining. Carefully wipe interfaced surfaces the rags moistened in acetone. Clean a carving deaf болтовых apertures in aluminium moulding of the block.
2. Check up a flange of stamped section of the pallet on presence of signs of deformation, in case of need make corresponding рихтовку.
3. Check up a condition of the mesh filter маслозаборника, wash out solvent маслозаборную a tube, replace a sealing lining, establish assemblage маслозаборника on the engine and with demanded effort tighten fixing bolts.
4. If removed, establish into place маслозаборник with a new lining, tightening bolts of its fastening with demanded effort.

5. Impose on the specified surfaces the platen of hermetic RTV in the thickness 2 – 3 mm (address to an accompanying illustration). |
|
|
6. Accurately press the pallet to the block of the engine and screw fixing bolts (address to an accompanying illustration). Make sure that between the back ends of the top part of the pallet and the engine block there is a backlash not less than 0.2 mm. Moving from the centre outside, in three-four receptions tighten fixture with demanded efforts. |
7. The further installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Tighten fixture with demanded effort. Do not forget to replace the filter and to add oil.
8. Start the engine and check up the pallet on presence of signs of development of leaks. Check up also pressure of oil. |
