Removal, installation and adjustment of position of a cowl

Removal and installation

The cowl panel has decent weight, therefore it is necessary to get support of the assistant.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl, then cover wings with special overlays or simply old blankets for their protection against damage to process of dismantle of the panel.
2. Disconnect all cables and the wires, disturbing to cowl removal. Also disconnect brought to the nozzles of a tube of giving of a liquid of washing of a windscreen fixed in a cowl.
3. A marker or чертилкой lead round loopy laths for a guarantee of correctness of fastening of a cowl at assemblage.
4. Ask the assistant to take a cowl and give bolts of fastening of loopy laths.
5. Installation is made upside-down. At installation to the place of an old cowl track, that loopy laths have been established taking into account the labels put in the course of dismantle (paragraph 3 see). If cowl replacement is made, it is necessary to make adjustment of its position (see more low).

Adjustment

After adjustment of its cowl given конусные it is necessary to replace bolts with the new.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Adjustment of position of a cowl in an aperture of an impellent compartment is made by displacement in the corresponding party of loopy laths after easing of their fixture (address to an accompanying illustration).

If on manufacturer the self-aligned bolts which are not supposing possibilities of carrying out of similar adjustment are applied to fastening of laths, it is necessary to replace such fixture with bolts of standard type, without having forgotten to equip with their flat and lock washers.

2. Adjustment of height of a first line of a cowl is made by a reversing or заворачиванием rubber support so that the cowl edge was flush with wings (address to an accompanying illustration).

3. The height of back edge of a cowl is regulated if to weaken four screws of fastening of loops to a partition of an impellent compartment.

4. Updating of position of assemblage of a latch of the lock of a cowl on a basic plate of a radiator can be in case of need executed (in vertical and horizontal planes), the cowl should be closed densely and to fall заподлицо with surfaces of wings (address to an accompanying illustration). For lock adjustment lead round heads of bolts of fastening of assemblage of a latch a marker or чертилкой, then ослабьте bolts and displace a latch to a demanded direction. On termination of adjustment strongly tighten fixing bolts.

5. Assemblage of a latch of the lock of a cowl should to be processed periodically (simultaneously with loops, see Has undressed Service of loops and car locks) by greasing on литиевой to a basis in order to avoid jammings and premature deterioration of components.
