Components of installation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes


The servo-driver of the vacuum amplifier of brakes does not require regular service, except for periodic checks of a condition of a vacuum hose. Components of installation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes are presented on an illustration above.

Check of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Without starting the engine, some times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake. Make sure of absence of changes in size of a reserve course of a pedal (the Section Adjustment of a pedal of a foot brake see).
2. Keeping a pedal squeezed out, start the engine. If right after start the pedal slightly "fails", hence, the vacuum amplifier of brakes works regularly.

Check of tightness of the vacuum amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine on pair minutes, then muffle. Some times slowly squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake. If the course of a pedal with each squeezing is gradually reduced, being stabilised on the third-fourth rolling, means, tightness of assemblage of the vacuum amplifier is not broken.
2. Squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake at the working engine. Keeping a pedal squeezed out, muffle the engine. If later 30 seconds of keeping of a pedal pressed its reserve course does not change, hence, tightness of assemblage of the vacuum amplifier is not broken.

Check of the hydraulic amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check up completeness of a charge of the storage battery.
2. At the switched off ignition press a pedal of a brake not less than 4 times.

In process of pressure decrease in system the pedal course will decrease, and the made effort – to increase.

3. Establish manometres and an effort measuring instrument (address to an accompanying illustration) and pump over brake system (the Section Adjustment of a pedal of a foot brake see).
4. At the idle hydraulic amplifier of brakes press a pedal of a brake with effort 245 N.Davlenie in a contour of forward brakes there should be more than 14.5 bar, and in a contour of back brakes – улевое. Increase effort of pressing to 343 Н, thus pressure in a contour of forward brakes should be more than 20.6 bar, and in a contour of back brakes – zero.
5. At the working hydraulic amplifier of brakes include ignition and wait, while the pump of the hydraulic block will not cease to work. Press a pedal of a brake with effort 49 N.Davlenie in a contour of forward brakes should be 13 – 25 bar, and in a contour of back brakes 16 – 28 bar. Increase effort of pressing to 98 Н, thus pressure in a contour of forward brakes should be 32 – 45 bar, and in a contour of back brakes – 35 – 47 bar. Increase effort of pressing to 147 Н, thus pressure in a contour of forward brakes should be 53 – 65 bar, and in a contour of back brakes – 55 – 67 bar. Increase effort of pressing to 196 Н, thus pressure in a contour of forward brakes should be 72 – 84 bar, and in a contour of back brakes – 75 – 87 bar.

Removal of the vacuum amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The block of the vacuum amplifier of brakes is not subject to regenerative repair and in default should be replaced in gathering.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose brought to the amplifier from the inlet pipeline of the engine. Try not to damage a hose, removing it from the union on amplifier assemblage.
3. Give fixing nuts and cautiously remove from assemblage of the vacuum amplifier the main brake cylinder (see Has undressed Removal and installation of the main brake cylinder (ГТЦ)), try not to admit перегибания and twisting of hydraulic lines.
4. In car salon find knot of connection of a rod of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier to a pedal of a foot brake, – (in case of need take advantage of a pocket small lamp). At first disconnect a returnable spring, then take шплинт, liberate a cylindrical pin and disconnect a cutting finger of a pusher from the pedal lever.
5. From outside salon at the left under the panel of devices give four nuts of fastening of assemblage of the vacuum amplifier to a partition of an impellent compartment (address to an accompanying illustration), – in case of need take advantage of a pocket small lamp.
6. Pass in an impellent compartment and remove assemblage of the vacuum amplifier from a back partition. Pull assemblage strictly on an axis of its installation before full liberation of a rod of a pusher. Take assemblage from an impellent compartment.

Installation and adjustment of the vacuum amplifier

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made upside-down. All fixture tighten with demanded effort. Do not forget to replace шплинт a pin of fastening of a rod of a pusher to a pedal. Track reliability of fixing of a returnable spring.
2. At replacement of the vacuum amplifier make check/adjustment of the adjusting sizes:
   a. Measure size выступания a pusher over interfaced with ГТЦ a surface of assemblage of the vacuum amplifier (address to an illustration). Write down result of measurement, having designated it as the size "And";
   b. Measure distance from an interfaced surface of a landing flange to end face ГТЦ (address to an illustration). Write down result of measurement, having designated it as the size "In";
   c. Measure distance from end face ГТЦ to the bottom a pocket in the piston under landing of a rod of a pusher (address to an illustration). Write down result of measurement, having designated it as the size "With";
   d. For reception of a landing backlash of a rod of a pusher subtract the size In from the size With, then from the received result subtract the size And (address to an illustration);
   e. Compare result of calculation to requirements of Specifications, in case of need make corresponding updating of length of a pusher (see further). If the size And appears in piston GTTS (With–), a rod it is necessary to truncate less depths of a pocket, otherwise – to extend.
3. If the size of a landing backlash falls outside the limits an admissible range, ослабьте the gear nozzle equipped with a notch on the end of a rod and rotation of an adjusting core achieve demanded result (address to an accompanying illustration). Having finished adjustment, strongly tighten a counternut and repeat check.
4. Establish into place in ГТЦ and connect to assemblage of the vacuum amplifier a vacuum hose. Track reliability of a tightening of a collar of fastening of a hose on the reception union.
5. Adjust adjusting height and size of a free wheeling of a pedal of a foot brake (the Section Adjustment of a pedal of a foot brake see).
6. Before to start car operation make sure of serviceability of functioning of brake system.
