Gauges of speed (VSS) systems ABS

System check

Described below procedure spend on the moving car, having translated system in diagnostics mode. Thus system ABS will not operate, it is necessary to work only usual brake system.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn the ignition key in position OFF. Check up pressure of the battery. It should not be more low 12В.
2. Having included ignition be convinced that control lamp ABS on the panel of devices has flashed for 3 seconds and has gone out. Turn the ignition key in position OFF.
3. Crosspieces connect among themselves all three conclusions of the Hardware, Ts and Е1 on socket DLC1.
4. Cock a lay brake and get the engine, without pressing a brake pedal. Pressing a pedal either cancels check or will enter a wrong code of malfunction.
5. The control lamp on the panel of devices should light up 4 times a second. If the control lamp specifies in a malfunction code, malfunction needs to be eliminated, and its code to erase before continuing check. If the lamp does not light up, check up a condition of the gauge of a stoplight on have betrayed brakes, socket DLC1 and its conducting to ECU systems ABS.
6. For check of level of a signal of the gauge release a lay brake and will sweep directly on small speed. At achievement of speed 3 – 8 km/h the lamp should go out. Having gone out, the lamp again will start to blink, if speed of the car leaves for the specified limits. It means that the system functions normally. If flashes are not present, the system is faulty.
7. Check up signal change, having left on road. At achievement of speed 40 – 50 km/h through a second pause the lamp should light up. As before, at an exit from this range of speeds the lamp should go out. Otherwise the system is faulty.

At the gone out lamp do not subject the car to sharp dispersals and braking.

8. Stop the car in a safe place and completely cock a lay manual brake. Consider the codes of malfunctions registered by system.
9. Turn the ignition key in position OFF and remove a crosspiece from socket DLC1.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a socket of wheel gauge ABS (address to illustrations above).
2. Measure resistance between conclusions 1 and 2. It should make 0.97 – 1.77 clod for forward and 0.5 – 1.6 clod – for the back gauge.
3. If resistance differs from ordered, replace the gauge.
4. Check up absence of short circuit between conclusions and the case. If isolation is broken, replace the gauge.
5. Attach a socket of conducting of the gauge.
6. Check up gauge installation. The weakened bolt of fastening tighten with effort of 8 Nanometers.
7. Remove a nave with a rotor. Be convinced of absence of damages of a teeth of a rotor. If it is necessary, a rotor replace.

To avoid damages, do not knock on a rotor and a nave a hammer.

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect from the block conducting of the gauge and give bolts of collars of fastening of conducting to a frame, the top lever and a rotary fist (the forward gauge) or a fuel tank (the back gauge).

Old fastenings will throw out.

2. Remove the gauge.
3. Installation is made upside-down. Tighten fixture of the gauge and its conducting with demanded effort.

Check of the gauge of delay

Described below procedure spend not the moving car, having translated system in diagnostics mode. Thus system ABS will not operate, it is necessary to work only usual brake system.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn the ignition key in position OFF. Check up pressure on plugs of the battery which should not be more low 12В.
2. Include ignition. Be convinced that control lamp ABS was lighted on pair seconds and has gone out. Turn the ignition key in position OFF.
3. A crosspiece close conclusions Е1 and Ts socket DLC1.
4. Completely cock a lay brake, press a pedal of a brake and get the engine.
5. After a while control lamp ABS should start blinking with frequency of 4 flashes in a second.
6. Disperse the car on equal road till the speed not less than 45 km/h. If the system is serviceable, the control lamp should go out.
7. After a car stop, the control lamp should start blinking. Connect a crosspiece conclusions of the Hardware and Е1 socket DLC1 and count quantity of flashes of lamp ABS.
8. If the lamp lights up more often than two times a second, means there is a first code of malfunction.
9. Turn the ignition key in position OFF. Eliminate malfunction.
10. Remove crosspieces from conclusions of a diagnostic socket.

Removal and activator installation

Activator ABS

The activator established on ECU of system ABS


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect brake tubes and stop up them. Disconnect socket ABS from the activator (address to illustrations above).
2. Give bolts and nuts of fastening and remove the activator from the car.
3. Dismantle the block from an arm.
4. Installation is made upside-down. Tighten fixture with demanded effort.
