Removal and steering wheel installation

Before to start performance of any works near to the block of a pillow of safety, a steering column or the instrument panel, disconnect SRS in order to avoid reception of traumas at its casual operation (the Onboard electric equipment see). PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Result forward wheels of the car in rectilinear position. Disconnect from the battery at first a negative wire, then positive.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. On in appropriate way the equipped models make deactivation SRS (the Onboard electric equipment see).

3. Having hooked, remove two plastic заглушки, established on lateral surfaces of assemblage of a steering wheel and ослабьте the screws of fastening of the module of a pillow of safety located in opened nests (address to an accompanying illustration). The turned out screws remain fixed in the nests.

4. Remove from assemblage of a steering wheel the module of a pillow of safety.

Try not to turn the removed module of a pillow of safety a face sheet to itself! Lay the module a face sheet upwards in a safe place.

5. Disconnect disturbing to removal of a steering wheel electroconducting.

6. Give a nut of fastening of a steering wheel, then with a paint mark position of assemblage concerning a steering shaft (address to an accompanying illustration).

7. By means of a special stripper remove a wheel from a steering column (address to an accompanying illustration).

In order to avoid infringement of centering of contact cable drum SRS do not suppose проворачивания a steering shaft at the removed steering wheel. At the compelled infringement of the given requirement the drum should be centered before wheel installation into place.

8. Make sure of correctness of centering of contact cable drum SRS, a share of that manually develop its casing counter-clockwise till the moment of occurrence of hard resistance, then return it approximately on three turns back and achieve combination стрелочных labels.
9. Establish a steering wheel on the regular place, having tracked correctness of combination of the landing labels put in the course of dismantle. Tighten a fixing nut with demanded effort.
